CASA JP Is coming!!!

Join us for a special Reservation-Only

Casa JP at alla Teresa Caffe

Friday, January 23rd ,2015 6:00 – 8:00 PMcasajp 2015

Come enjoy this family-style dinner, rounds of BINGO, and—new this year—a Silent Auction and a showcase of Sign-Up Events.

Casa JP is an evening event that we hold at JP (decorated as an Italian restaurant!) for JP families. We’ll prepare a spaghetti dinner on-site and present it cafeteria style, followed by rousing games of bingo, a small silent auction, and a showcase of Sign-Up Events.

JP parents, Raoul and Maria Momo (of Terra Momo Group), will generously sponsor a delightful Italian meal. Our menu will include penne pasta (gluten-free available) with Marinara, Bolognese, or plain with butter, bread, salad, and desserts.

Space is limited. Fire regulations dictate a maximum occupancy for this event. Please don’t miss out! We typically sell out and we won’t be able to accommodate walk-ins.

Kindly return the bottom portion of this form: Casa JP 2015 reservation form to JP’s office with cash/check (payable to “JP PTO”) in a sealed envelope by Tuesday, January 20th! We’ll accept reservations on a first-come basis.

Please indicate your interest and availability to volunteer at our sign-up genius site or go “old school” by printing: Casa jp 2015 volunteer signup, then send it into the office. Kindly respond no later than Tuesday, January 20th. Confirmation emails and reminders will be sent to you prior to the event.

Sign-up to Warm up

Warm up on a cold winter day at one of these HOT Sign-Up Events.snowflake

A Sign-Up Event (formerly a Party-Board Event) is an activity such as a dinner party, guided hike, or movie outing that a host (or group of hosts) donates to JP. JP parents purchase a spot to attend the event as a way to support our P.T.O. Residency Programs; at the same time, the participants have fun.

Find a list of parties taking place in Jan., Feb., or Mar. that have open spots here. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to sign up.

Thank you for your support!

Naturalist Residency:  New Jersey Wildlife Assembly

On Wed., Dec. 17th, our children attended an assembly as part of the Johnson Park P.T.O.’s naturalist-in-residence program.  A wildlife advocate from the Mercer County Wildlife Center brought an Eastern screech owl, red-tailed hawk, Virginia opossum, and a great horned owl, to the school as “animal ambassadors” to share with grades PK-2 and grades 3-5.

The Mercer County Wildlife Center rehabilitates ill, injured, or displaced wildlife, and releases them back into their natural habitats.  Students were enthralled to see elements of their science curriculum in living, hooting, feathered, and furry color.

Thank you for your support of this and our other residency programs through your P.T.O. dues and participation in our P.T.O.’s fundraising activities.  Please feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions.

Happy Holidays,

Mara Olmstead
