For over 12 years, our Johnson Park (“JP”) Koko Fund has assisted JP students from families in financial need by subsidizing enrichment opportunities. Our program has grown significantly since its founding, which is fitting, as nearly one third of JP’s current pupils are eligible.johnsonRedraw_large.jpg.cf

Through financial assistance from our JP Koko Fund, participants take part in after-school activities at our school, in the greater Princeton community, and at summer camps. Program partners aid our JP Koko Fund, by providing significant tuition discounts. Without our partners’ support, our youngsters would not have these experiences.

Specifically, through the support of our program partners, our Koko Fund has given students the opportunity to participate in after-school classes, such as science, sports, chess, acting, and art, and has allowed JP youngsters to attend programs at the Princeton Recreation summer camps, Westminster Conservatory, and the Princeton Y.W.C.A. Other program partners include:

The Arts Council of Princeton

Princeton Ballet School

Princeton Football Club (P.F.C.)

Princeton Soccer Association (P.S.A.)

Princeton Soccer Experience

Princeton Y.M.C.A.

Rambling Pines Day Camp

Village Shoes

Westminster Conservatory

Our JP Koko Fund operates within the JP Parent-Teacher Organization (“JP PTO”), a 501 c (3) organization. An advisory board of teachers, parents, and community members manage and oversee the Fund. Our P.T.O. holds the funds as restricted money within the JP P.T.O. bank account, and our P.T.O. treasurer reports on the Fund’s status. The Advisory Board strives to work within a framework of mutual respect and sensitivity to the recipient children, their families, and the Fund’s fiscal responsibility.
